Our Mission
HelloCREATIVITY’s mission is to help children grow self-confidence and personal courage through artistic expression and connection to mentors worldwide.
HelloCREATIVITY.com provides a secure online connection between children and mentors who nurture and empower the young artists. By encouraging children to claim their creative voice, we strengthen their opportunity for a more understanding, hopeful, successful, and peaceful future.
Children ages 2 to 18 submit all forms of creative expression. Our mentor community includes artists, photographers, writers, musicians, teachers, parents, professionals, and seniors – any adult who has the passion to make a positive difference.
Challenge
When creativity is left behind, so is a significant opportunity for children to build confidence in their learning abilities. Often, the children who need validation and encouragement the most suffer from lack of exposure to the arts and positive feedback.
- 22% of elementary schools in the U.S. reduced art and music instruction (in 2005-2006) to make time for reading and math, the No Child Left Behind subjects
- 15 million kids (in the U.S. alone) need a mentor while 44 million adults would seriously consider mentoring.
- Why the gap? Location and schedules, primarily –- barriers easily overcome by mentoring online.
