2007 Social Entrepreneur Award
01.15.2007
Lori HeinsmanIts my pleasure to announce that, as founder of HelloCREATIVITY.com, I was presented with the 2007 Social Entreprenuer Award by Hands On Atlanta on Saturday, Jan 13, 2007.
As part of the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Service Summit, the Social Entrepreneur Award ceremony was held at the Freedom Rally held in a truly significant symbol of peace and freedom in Atlanta: the sanctuary of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, the location for Dr. King's messages of service, activism, diversity and nonviolence.
The recognition of this award by this respected organization provides immense credibility for HelloCREATIVITY.com and door-opening opportunities for accomplishing our mission -- to help children grow self-confidence and personal courage through artistic expression and connection to mentors worldwide.

Excerpt of award letter from Hands On Atlanta:
You have been identified as a promising social entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur is defined as one who creates unique, innovative and sustainable programming in his or her community to help correct economic, political, environmental or social imbalances.
HelloCREATIVITY.com believes that, by encouraging children to claim their creative voice, we strengthen their opportunity for a more understanding, hopeful, successful, and peaceful future. We know that influencing self-confidence and personal courage in children is an iterative, gradual process – requiring patient, sustained interconnection. With the mentoring support provided by the Hands On Atlanta Social Entrepreneur Award, the HelloCREATIVITY.com program can provide services for more children more effectively.
The Social Entrepreneur Award Program provided training from Oct - Dec, 2006. Following the training, Hands On Atlanta evaluated the represented programs and selected two to win the 2007 Social Entrepreneur Award. "Bebop: Mentoring Through Culture," the program developed by Menelik Pope, was also recognized with an award. We congratulate Menelik and his beneficial Bebop program, and wish him success.
HelloCREATIVITY.com also wishes to thank Hands On Atlanta for this recognition, and we look forward to working with Hands On Atlanta during 2007 and for many years to come.
