Tips on Posting Comments

REMEMBER:  Your comments will be read by young people.  Use ONLY age-appropriate words.  All comments are reviewed by the editorial staff before they are approved for posting.  Comments MUST comply with the site's Terms of Use policy. 

1) Words of encouragement should be simple, positive, and age-appropriate.  For example:

• Great job!
• Very creative!
• Keep up the good work!

2) Individualized feedback is the most valuable when you mention specifics from the artwork.  For example:

• I enjoyed your poem about the July 4 celebration.  The words you chose (such as "crackle" and "booming like thunder") really helped me hear and feel the fireworks. 
• The drawing of the dog is wonderful -- you've captured the essence of how excited dogs can be when playing fetch!

3)  NEVER use words that are negative, obscene, discriminatory, or hurtful.
