Responses from Parents
The HelloCREATIVITY program combines what children need (self-expression, learning, creativity) with what children are doing (communicating via the Internet) in a way that provides safe access to mentors and confidence-building recognition for their talents.
It’s working! HelloCREATIVITY has demonstrated that the online mentoring model works in helping children boost their creative confidence. Listen to what we’ve heard from parents:
She booked a concert!
Our 8-year-old daughter submitted her song lyrics to HelloCreativity.com in August. She has always loved to make up songs and sing them in the house, but WAS shy about performing. She is NOT shy anymore. Since seeing her songs published online and absorbing the positive comments from the HelloCreativity online mentors, she is belting out new music almost daily. In fact, she has formed a band (with other 8-year-olds in the neighborhood), has selected a manager (same age), and has booked a live performance at the community Thanksgiving event! All this in about two months. We’re so proud of her!
Stopped in her tracks . . .
When we showed our 6-year-old her artwork on HelloCreativity last week, she literally stopped in her tracks – which is an accomplishment in itself, but there’s more. Her eyes were huge while I scrolled to show where people had commented on her drawing and, just as I started to ask if she wanted me to read the comments out loud, I noticed she had one foot out the door. She stopped again, said yes, still visibly itching to run, and listened to the first comment, then the next comment, and then dashed out of the room. Curious, I followed, and found her frantically gathering art supplies so she could create more drawings! Good-bye TV, HelloCREATIVITY!
